BHOOMITHRA CLUB🌱

BHOOMITHRA CLUB  

"Bhoomithra Club" of Government College of Teacher Education Thycaud was formed with support from teachers and students of the college . It aims at grooming environmentally conscious and socially responsible young people who will value the bounties of nature and strive to preserve them. 

On 16th December 2022 "Bhoomithra club" was formed on general hall of the college. Asha teacher was the coordinator of the bhoomithra club. Saranya S from department of Hindi was selected as the convenor and Mary Ann from the department of geography was selected as joint convenor. Representatives from each departments were also selected as the members of bhoomithra club. 

First year B Ed students of GCTE, as part of activity of bhumitra club as part of eco-friendly activities, everyone brought different kind of plants and mud pots. Rose, thulasi, oleander, Ixora etc were some of the plants that students brought. This activity brought diverse species of plants to the college campus

Bhoomithra club activities of second year students was done under the guidance of Asha teacher. Second B Ed students of Government College of Teacher Education Thycaud created an eco friendly garden within the campus. The garden was characterized with the presence of eco friendly mud pots and different varieties of plants. 

All the activities of "Bhoomithra club" was helpful for grooming environmentally conscious and socially responsible student teachers who will value the bounties of nature and strive to preserve them.
